benefits of broccoli

although i dont like Green color, but still, i love to eat green veggie. one of them is my favorite Broccoli. many people don't realize that this cute veggie has many benefits to our life. wanna know some? here i list the benefits of broccoli (source : nature cure methods )









  • Heart Diseases: Broccoli has high fiber content, omega-3 fatty acids, beta-carotene and other vitamins that helps to reduce bad cholesterol and also aids in proper functioning of the heart by regulating blood pressure.
  • Stomach Disorders: Broccoli is rich in fiber. Fiber aids in the treatment of all the stomach disorders by curing constipation, as constipation is the root of all stomach disorders. Fiber forms food bulk, retains water and forms bowels. Vitamins and magnesium in broccoli cure acidity as well as facilitates properdigestion and also the absorption of nutrients from food. This reduces inflammation and thus, soothes stomach.
  • Eye care and Cataract: For ocular health, zeaxanthin and beta-carotene, phosphorus, vitamin A and other vitamins like Vitamin C, E and B Complex present in broccoli are helpful. These protect eyes from cataract, Macular degeneration and repairs the damages caused by UV radiations.
  • Skin Care: Beta-carotene and vitamin C present in broccoli helps in keeping the skin glow and young. Other vitamins include vitamin B Complex, amino acids, vitamin E, vitamin K, vitamin A, folate and omega 3 fatty acids present in broccoli.
  • DetoxificationSulfur, vitamin C and some amino acids present in broccoli makes it an excellent detoxifier. It aids in removing toxins and free radicals such as uric acid from body and thus purifies blood and keeps away many problems that are associated with toxins like arthritis, gout, itches, boils, rheumatism, skin diseases such as eczema and renal calculi.
  • Cancer: Broccoli is proved to be the wonder-drug for several types of cancers such as prostrate cancer, uterus cancer, breast cancer, cancers of internal organs that includes kidneys, liver, colon, lungs, etc and intestine cancer. This is an excellent remedy for uterus cancer and breast cancer because it removes excess estrogen from the body.
  • Anemia: This condition us associated with iron deficiency and lack of certain proteins. Broccoli is a good source of proteins and iron. Thus, it is a good remedy for anemia.
  • Pregnancy: As broccoli is rich in nutrients, it is essential for pregnant ladies. Broccoli contains phosphorus, iron, detoxifiers, antioxidants, vitamins, calcium, proteins and others. It is also good source of fiber and helps to get rid off constipation which is common during pregnancy.
